Plastics, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC or vinyl), are often discussed in environmental debates. As a widely used material in healthcare, PVC naturally attracts attention from various stakeholders, including NGOs. In response to recent discussions and reports, the PVCMed Alliance compiled an updated perspective on PVC in healthcare, based on the latest scientific evidence.
Today, the activities of the PVCMed Alliance have been integrated into VinylPlus Healthcare – a new platform that brings together stakeholders across the medical vinyl value chain to ensure a more coordinated and fact-based dialogue on sustainability, innovation, and circularity in healthcare.
