VinylPlus Healthcare was established in 2025 as a dedicated platform under VinylPlus®, the Commitment to sustainable development of the European vinyl industry. It serves as the central hub for sustainability, innovation, and circularity in medical vinyl applications, promoting responsible material use, enhancing recycling initiatives, and fostering collaboration across the healthcare value chain.
Previously, VinylPlus® Med and VinylPlus® PharmPack operated as standalone recycling projects under VinylPlus®, while the now-closed PVCMed Alliance functioned under the European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers (ECVM) as an advocacy and communications initiative. With the creation of VinylPlus Healthcare, these efforts are now unified under one platform, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to sustainability in healthcare applications.

Within this structure, VinylPlus Med and VinylPlus PharmPack function as dedicated recycling projects. By integrating these key initiatives under one platform, VinylPlus Healthcare provides a streamlined structure that enhances communication, resource allocation, and project execution in the medical vinyl sector.
