VinylPlus Healthcare was established in 2025 as a dedicated platform under VinylPlus®, the Commitment to sustainable development of the European PVC industry. It serves as the central hub for sustainability, innovation and circularity in medical vinyl applications — including communications, scientific work, stakeholder engagement and recycling.
VinylPlus Healthcare was created by bringing together the former PVCMed Alliance activities with VinylPlus’ recycling work in healthcare. Today, medical device recycling is carried out under VinylPlus Healthcare, while pharmaceutical blister packaging recycling continues as the dedicated programme VinylPlus® PharmPack.
Our Structure
VinylPlus Healthcare is the main platform for technical expertise, communications, scientific research and stakeholder engagement in the healthcare sector. It provides a single umbrella for VinylPlus’ healthcare-related activities.
Within this structure:
- Medical device recycling is delivered as a core activity under VinylPlus Healthcare (building on the experience of VinylPlus® Med).
- VinylPlus® PharmPack continues as the dedicated programme for pharmaceutical blister packaging recycling.
