VinylPlus Healthcare will contribute to the ERRIN Health Working Group event “Next Generation of Healthcare: Resilience and Circularity” on 23 June in Brussels.

ERRIN is a Brussels-based network of innovative European regions, working to strengthen the regional and local dimension in EU research and innovation policies and programmes. The event brings together health, sustainability and innovation stakeholders to explore how circular approaches can support more resilient healthcare systems.

Ole Grøndahl Hansen, Coordinator of VinylPlus Healthcare, will present how circular solutions for plastic-based medical devices can be developed in practice through cooperation across hospitals, suppliers, recyclers and manufacturers.

Drawing on VinylPlus Healthcare’s experience from hospital collection and recycling projects in Belgium and France, the presentation will highlight both the opportunities and the practical conditions needed to make medical device recycling work: controlled material streams, high-quality sorting, documentation, regulatory clarity and downstream acceptance of recyclate.
